Finite Capacity Material Requirement Planning System for a Three-Stage Supply Chain Under Manufacturer-Managed Scheduling Concept

Supply chain management (SCM) is critical to the success of manufacturing industries. Advanced production planning and scheduling functions capable coping with activities in a supply (SC) are presently needed. A finite capacity material requirement (FCMRP) system for three-stage SC, defined as “3-SC FCMRP,” presented herein. The aims generate feasible transportation schedules SC based on manufacturer-managed concept, which allows main manufacturer manage schedule by considering capacities factory work centers, suppliers, well customers. modular design concept that each module be modified easily independently. Experimental results show all subsystems have statistically significant effects total cost generated 3-SC FCMRP more realistic than those single or two-stage SC.
